Sly is an excellent jQuery scrolling plugin that supports either horizontal or vertical scrolling and also features infinite scroll.
It has a large number of options to configure the slides, scrollbar and pagination.
There are also a number of methods that allow you to progmatically add, remove, pause, reload and change position of the slides.
